War ~ state of armed conflict
My grandma had a phrase that she used when she was extremely upset with someone.
"Well, (enter name), can just take a flying kiss at a rolling donut."
Not that Grandma was an angry person at all, but you knew if she got to that point, it was a bit serious! I'm not sure I understand the meaning behind these words, but I love them. It was her way of saying ENOUGH, I've had enough!
I don't know about you, but that is exactly where I am with our true enemy! I am so stinking tired of the mess that satan is trying to make of things here on earth. I'm sick and tired of the ugly thoughts he's continually conjuring up in my mind. I've had enough of walking in defeat because I'm listening to his stupid lies! I'm spiritually and physically exhausted because I'm allowing him access where he does not belong.
That amazing day at Asbury, God gave me the word bold. God is calling each of us to a place where in the Mighty Name of Jesus, we boldly stand up to our true enemy and say, "Take a flying kiss at a rolling donut! satan, I've had enough of your tactics. I've had enough of your schemes. you have already lost and you cannot win!"
In the Strong Name of Jesus, I take back my family, I take my thoughts captive, I will no longer walk in defeat. I am a child of God Almighty Who has prepared a special place for you. Take this ugliness that you are trying to create, take this chaos, take this dissention to the depths of where you belong! I've had enough and you are no longer going to mess with me in Jesus' Name.
Friends, we have to be bold. We have to stand up to his tactics. We can no longer allow the enemy access into our lives, into our hearts, into our minds! This war with satan is real; but praise God, we're not the ones who have to do the fighting, the heavy lifting.
War is defined as a state of armed conflict. And guess what - God gives us armor, His armor! We don't have to do any of the fighting, but we absolutely must armor up!
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Ephesians 6:10-18
Let's give up this fight to the One Who is able. Let's daily armor up with the complete protection of I AM, GOD ALMIGHTY, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, GOD MOST HIGH. Friends, let us boldly approach the throne of grace, where we will find mercy and the grace needed to help us in our fight! (Hebrews 4:16)
God is fighting for us, not with us, but for us. When we feel under attack, the Bible tells us to resist the devil. How? By coming near to God. (James 4:7 & 8) Close your eyes and imagine being near God ~ what peace, what rest, what a victory is ours by simply coming into the presence of our Father!
Be bold and don't allow the enemy access to your life in the NAME OF JESUS!
God, I am so weary of trying to fight the enemy in my strength. I'm tired of walking in defeat because I'm listening to his lies. I no longer want him to have access to my heart and mind filling me with bitterness, pride, and poisoning me with his negativity. Oh, Daddy, I come boldly to Your throne of grace, longing to be with You ~ for then satan will flee. IN THE NAME OF JESUS, may I no longer allow him to kill, steal, and destroy, but may I sit in Your presence and claim the abundant life You have promised (John 10:10). Oh, God I need You more and more. I'm laying down my weapons, armoring up with Your armor, and allowing You to fight. I just can't do it any more . . .
BLOGGER'S NOTE: This battle that we're in with satan cannot be fought on our own. We have to use the truths found in God's word and then spend time with Him on our knees in prayer. I encourage you to seek God in His word and to pray; HE WILL give you what you need when you need it in JESUS' NAME! I highly recommend the movie War Room and Priscilla Shirer's books The Armor of God and Fervent as great resources.
PSS: I refuse to capitalize satan's name ~ he doesn't deserve it!
BOLD!! Oh my goodness!! Did I ever need this and yes, it was BOLD!
The first paragraph I read over and over.
I am committing to reading your words every day for the rest of the month-they are that convicting. I needed this and I thank you!🙏🏻♥️
Please keep writing!
We all need to be reminded daily of the battle we’re in and Who’s fighting for us!
I want to be bold and stand with the full armor of God so that I can keep satan at bay in my and my families lives. thank you for the encouraging words.
God has been working on that in my life!
Today i needed to hear this. Thank you. I work hard at not letting the negativity drive me to the ground. Somedays are a struggle but I have to remind myself that there is a plan and god is leading me daily. I say it is what it is to sheild myself but at the end of the day I know that everything happens for a reason and that Jesus loves me. Thank you again my friend.
satan wants us to only see what is in front of us and to distract us from knowing God is working in the hard we’re going through! Jesus does love you so much and sometimes that’s the only thing we have to hang on to!
Amen & Amen 🙏🏽. Thank you for your words that describe my feelings but have been left unsaid. “I’m stinking tired of the mess as well.” “May I no longer allow satan access to kill, steal and destroy.” I will live by the truth of God’s word, I will submit to God, resist the devil so he will flee. I will be bold and use my authority in Jesus name and stand in the full armor of God. I will fast and pray and stay in God’s presence, Victory is mine! ✝️❤️🙏🏽
Antonette, I need to reread these words from God! satan is constantly trying to trip us up and we need to stay in God’s presence as you said! Thank you!
