I’d be Lost!

Have you ever had something or had a relationship with someone that you'd be lost without?

A few years ago I got a cordless vacuum ~ I would be lost without it! I love how convenient it is in cleaning up messes - and with our herd they happen frequently!

I think of Farmer Dan ~ I'd be lost without him. We have raised a blended family, worked together on the farm, and grown together in our faith for over 30 years.

These words to an old hymn popped into my mind and really struck a cord ~

Oh, Jesus  Oh, Jesus

Without Him how lost I would be

Listening to the lyrics rocked me to the very core. Thoughts of life without my relationship with Jesus made me realize just how precious it is that He saved me so I could be in His presence.

Once you know Jesus as your Savior and Friend, EVERYTHING, and I mean everything is different. Are there struggles? Yes ~ we're not in Heaven yet. Do we endure heartaches? Yes ~ we live in a fallen world.

I'd be nothing; I'd continually fail; I'd be aimlessly drifting.

I'd have no promise of eternal life; I'd be a prisoner to my mistakes; I'd have zero hope.

But with Him, I have a Shepherd Who gives me exactly what I need.

He leads me to rest; He restores me; He guides each step I take; He's with me no matter what I'm going through; He comforts me; He prepares a feast for just me and Him; He heals my wounds; and someday I will dwell with Him forever!

Gaze into the face of the Shepherd and then read Psalm 23. Goodness and love will follow you no matter whether you're in the midst of peace or chaos. Your cup will overflow with an indescribable divine presence.

Let Him hold you; let Him care for you; let Him love you ~ He wants to save you from being lost. You don't have to walk the journey before you alone ~

The question then becomes, do you know HIM. I beg you to not turn Him away ~ He's waiting for you with open arms ready to embrace your aching heart. . .

Oh, my Jesus, without You, how lost I would be ~
